SUNDAY SERVICE
Sunday Service is a coming of age film that follows Willa, a Catholic raised 15 year old, on a journey as she prepares herself to lose her virginity with the help of her inexperienced best friend, Riley.
At the beginning of 2021 I found myself through a transition period and looking for a script to produce that spoke a younger me. I wanted to become a filmmaker because movies had the magical effect of making me feel whole, even when something was missing.
Sunday Service came to me after I did a Twitter call to LGBTQ+ and Latinx writers. I receive hundreds of scripts, but this one was special. After working with Uriel, the mastermind behind this charming, coming of age comedy, we are ready moving into pre-production. More news coming soon. Stay tuned!

LATINX TRAVEL SUMMIT DOCUMENTARY
The Latinx Travel Summit provides a platform to connect entrepreneurs, organizations and thought-leaders building a community that facilitates business collaborations, exploring diversity, enhancing connections, celebrating our culture through the arts.
When my good friends at Anacaona Pictures pitched this documentary to me, I knew I had to be part of it. As a member of the Latinx community the opportunity to direct a documentary that celebrates the diversity and beauty of our cultures was a gift. We travelled to Miami for a weekend and not only got some incredible footage, but had the opportunity to network and meet some amazing like-minded people.

MUTE
A record is disrupted by an entity that appears during the absence of sound.
Mute is a film set in the 80's. A thriller, starring one of my favorite actresses of all times, Victoria Baxter, written by one of my favorite people and a film that was a delight to produce. Filmmakers make movies for fun always, but this one was a blast.

VANILLA MILKSHAKE
Olivia, a hopeless romantic, searches for her soulmate with the help of a "true love" token. In the dinner she recurs, she meets Aria, a skeptical waitress, who will have Olivia question her faith in the device and make her realize she has been looking in all the wrong places.
Vanilla Milkshake is a story written, directed and produced by me, Dany. It is very personal and it's a story that evolved with me for years, and I changed it as I learned more about myself. As I felt proud to be queer for the first time in my life, I knew I had to share it with the world.

WHEN WE WERE KIDS
A music video for The TwoTakes.
Produced in collaboration with No Usual LLC.
Working with friends is always a blast and it's true for this entire project. Made alongside friends from college including not only the cast, crew but also the band! We had an amazing time with this 80's inspired music video directed by the talented Rocco Shapiro.

RECORD SHOP
The owner of an old record shop that is going out of business is astonished when a singer he has idolized for years drops in to see the store for the last time.
This is to date, one of my favorite films I've produced. It was my first time working with super 8 film. Having to work with the time constraints and the small room for double takes made it a challenging and educational experience. We had a small crew, 2 actors and a blast. This film is currently on the festival circle.

SOPHIE'S DAYDREAM
Sophie's dream is to be an astronaut, but her mom doesn't believe this is the right path for her daughter.
Sophie's Daydream is a short that I directed and co-wrote with Rocco Shapiro. A film challenge came our way and we were ready to take it. Created for the NASA film competition we had to create a short film and use NASA footage as part of it. As I did research I found out there was only 1 Latina astronaut in the NASA files and I knew what I wanted this film to be about. I was once a little girl with a dream of doing something no one like me had ever done and that's how the story about Sophie was created.

BELOW THE LINE
To impress a girl he likes, an insecure Freshman teams up with a hot-headed classmate and a ragtag group of students to start a secret film club rivaling a group of elitist film snobs.
Below the Line was produced in collaboration with Hoca Studio. Based on people we met throughout our college career and ourselves. One of the most challenging and rewarding projects of my life as a filmmaker so far. This is a proof of concept for a bigger show, which hopefully we'll get to make someday.
